Modernisation and mechanical innovation has catapulted the rise of chemical, hazardous, and polluting industries, and with it unsafe working conditions and occupational risks. Nearly 48,000 workers1die every year in India due to occupational accidents, with 38 fatal accidents taking place every day in the construction sector and 47 in factories alone.
